Want to run an herbal business? Own a salon or massage practice? Are a cosmetologist? These are all some of the students we have enrolled in our program. Our students are people who wanted to expand or change direction by running thier own business. Students have started businesses making herbal and aromatherapy skin and hair products, soapmakers, providing instruction to larger companies on sustainable and natural skin care products, and providing salons and spas with natural products.

This class was made because of student and friends of Heart of Herbs requested such a class, so since 2001 we have been offering this program. We also run this program on-site and after numerous requests from students in other areas in the country wanting a correspondence program for this class because of travel constraints we decided to take the time to put together the Herbal Skin Care for Business Program. Students who have finished this and other Heart of Herbs Programs have gone on to start their own companies and we hope to have a full list online soon, so you can see what other Heart of Herbs students are doing.

You do not have to have any previous herbal or aromatherapy education to enroll in the course. It will cover all you need to know.

The program consists of:

1. 300+ pages of herbal skin care business information, industry standards, liability, ethics, marketing, advertising, how to formulate and recipes for over 100 hundred products.
2. We will also be including information on herbals for skin care and aromatherapy for skin care.
3. Suppliers for base ingredients and bottling resources, packaging, printing etc...
4. 2 additional texts, these are industry books.

   • Formulation Book- We will be trying to keep the books as up to date with the industry as possible so this and the business text will change with the industry.
