Bath Teas, time to relax

Why are bath teas so great? Because they are easy. So easy and relaxing. That is a winning combination for me. Nothing for me is nicer than relaxing when I am stressed in a gorgeous bath full of relaxing herbs. I grab a book and slid into the tub and let the world and stresses of the day wash off. De-stressing is a hard to sometimes find time for, but it is an essential for a balanced life.

Bath teas are teas that are made in large pots allowed to cool and added to the bath. Generally a bath tea is made in a stock pot. I like to add the whole pot of tea, strained to my baths. The amount of herb used is individual. Many people just use a tablespoon or two of each for ease. I generally like to use total one cup of herbs per gallon of water. Add the herbs to the water, bring to a boil and allow to cool and strain. Add the tea to your drawn bath. You can also add a half cup of Epsom or sea salts if you desire.

Calming Tea Bath 

Equal parts of, for instance for enough for one bath use

Chamomile Flowers (Matricaria Recutita)

Lavender Flowers (Lavandula angustifolia )

Rose Petals

Blend all together and make as a tea. 1 cup per two gallons of water. Strain and add to the bath. You can also add orange peel or Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis)  also.

Choose herbs that are relaxing and smell nice. These will help get you in a relaxed state of mind.
